Anyone can build an impressive sandcastle, all you need are the right tools! Can't get to the beach? Make your own sand at home and then follow along with the experts to create your own sandy masterpiece!
Note: For a bigger sandcastle, double recipe!
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
3 tbsp. butter
4 cups mini marshmallows
Sandy crumbs from cereal or cookies (optional)
Large saucepan
Spatula (best if coated in butter)
Sandcastle molds, washed and dried
Seashells (optional)
Plastic wrap
Step 1) In a large saucepan, melt the butter and add in mini marshmallows. Remove from heat when completely melted.
Step 2) Add Rice Krispies cereal and mix.
Step 3) Line the sandcastle molds with plastic wrap. Using the buttered spatula, press the mixture into the sandcastle molds. Press down firmly to get the mixture into every part of the mold.
Step 4) Turn the mold upside down, give it a shake to reveal the first part of your castle.
Step 5) Repeat to continue to add to your sandcastle, decorate with cereal crumbs and seashells!

To fill a small bin:
4 cups whole-wheat flour
1/2 cup vegetable oil
To fill a large bin:
5 lb of whole-wheat flour (1 bag)
2 cups vegetable oil
To fill a kiddie pool:
25 lb of whole-wheat flour (5 bags)
10 cups vegetable oil
Place the flour and oil in your bin or pool and mix with your hands. Once mixed, sand can be used to bury toys and build sandcastles!
