April 25: 5 K Run 8:00 a.m. (registration and fee)
Saturday in the Park 10a.m. to 4 p.m. vendors, music, and more!
Mid April: Timed essay writing contest for high school students (taken in-class in) to celebrate what makes our nation great. Winners announced in July.

May 8: History Sandwiched In: Travis Souther: “Duty before Glory: Washingtons Enduring Legacy of Leadership.”
May 16: History Sandwiched-in: Deb Edgar: “Feeding the Continental Army”
May 1-31: Ongoing the entire month. Poster contest with theme “America in 1776.” Contestants are elementary and junior high school students. Winners announced in July.

June 12: History Sandwiched-in: Dr. Marie Hallion, “Drafting the Declaration”
July
July 2, 3 and 4: Three day “Celebrate America 250! activities with free admission to the museum, children’s activities, colonial tea, cooking demonstration, reenactors, vendors and more. Award winners of poster contest and writing contest announced. Official ribbon-cutting for community on July 4. (Registration and fee for colonial tea; other events free and times for specific demonstrations will be announced.)
July 3: Deb Edgar: Women and their impact on the War

August 1: Ice Cream Social with red, white and blue sprinkles and cakes. (Registration and fee for Ice Cream Social)
October
October 5: Night At the Museum – Stagecrafters brings 1776 alive with skits. Appetizers and more! (Registration and fee for Night at the Museum)
October 9: History Sandwiched-in: Dr. Marie Hallion, “The Road to Independence; Siege of Boston,1775-1776 and Colonial Resistance”

November 6: History Sandwiched-in: Dr. Marie Hallion, “Boston Tea Party and the Intolerable Acts”

December 12: Yule of Yesteryear: Christmas in the Colonies
