Interested in learning more about sea turtles and how to protect these endangered species? Join us at the Gulfarium C.A.R.E. Center for an in-depth lesson on sea turtle rehabilitation and conservation!
Destin-Fort Walton Beach is partnering with the Gulfarium to spread awareness and educate the public about sea turtle conservation.
Sea turtles are vital to Destin-Fort Walton Beach's ecosystem. Visitors can learn how these species provide a cornerstone for everything that happens along the shoreline and emerald-green waters – and why protecting them is so important to Destin-Fort Walton Beach, FL.
The C.A.R.E. Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that acts as a beacon of coastal conservation through marine animal rescue and rehabilitation, encouraging awareness with public education and opportunities for active participation.
The talk kicks off with a tour of the Gulfarium C.A.R.E. Center, an inside look at their current sea turtle patients, and a mock in-take of an injured sea turtle. After that you will learn about sea turtle nesting on Okaloosa beaches and what you can do to help keep our sea turtles safe!
