Henderson Beach State Park

A 200-acre gem on the Emerald Coast, Henderson Park is home to a winding nature trail that provides a rare view of some of the last remaining endangered coastal scrub communities in the Florida panhandle. The park is home to four endangered or protected plant species and is a haven for shore birds, including six listed and protected species. Enjoy a leisurely bike ride on the park's mile-long paved road. Try your luck fishing in the surf. Pitch a tent or hook up your RV at one of 60 campsites.

Located in Destin, Henderson Beach State Park is a protected area, and is perfect for a relaxing day at the beach. This state park has much more than just our beautiful beaches. Of course you can swim along the shoreline with a mile long expanse of scenic water; and there are a variety of other activities too. Bring along a picnic lunch to eat at one of the six picnic pavilions. Children will love the playground that overlooks the Gulf of Mexico. The park has a three-quarter mile pet-friendly trail that winds through dunes and vegetation. Guided trail tours are available upon request.
