The 192-foot R/V Dolphin—once a seismic bottom-cable research vessel—was deployed in 2023 to form an artificial reef. She now rests upright in 120 feet of water, about 16 nautical miles south of Destin–Fort Walton Beach, serving as a vibrant habitat alongside her sister ship, the R/V Manta.
