Beginner diving at the Jetties
The crystal-clear waters of Destin-Fort Walton Beach are perfect for diving, but where do you start? Our local dive shops make it easy for newbies to dive right in with their Discover Scuba programs!
This 3-hour beginner diving adventure is for kids 10+ and lets you explore a whole new underwater world in the shallow jetties. Your experienced instructor will teach you basic skills, go over safety procedures and supply your family with all the equipment you need to take your first open water dive. (Bonus: this dive counts toward your PADI certification, which is pretty cool.)
Getting started is easy:
Step 1: Sign up for the Discover Scuba program offered by one of our dive shops.
Step 2: Take a 15-minute online course at home.
Step 3: Head out to the jetties with a PADI professional for your first shallow water dive.
